Resume Wisdom One Two What Do I Do - Hallie Crawford
Resume Wisdom One Two What Do I Do Does your resume have to be one page or two pages? The amount of information you have to put on your resume determines the length of your resume. If you have just graduated from high school or college and have little work experience, you may only have enough information for one page. On the other hand, if you have considerable work experience, you will probably need two pages. Donât feel you have to condense all of your information on one page â" a two page resume is perfectly acceptable. The only exception for either a one page or two page resume is for high-level executives who can have a three page resume. Remember, you may be competing with hundreds of other people for the same job. The better your resume looks, the more your resume will stand out from the rest. Make sure the point size is large enough for easy readability and use easy to read fonts. Put your name in all caps in bold in the largest point size on the page to draw attention to it. Quantify your accomplishments using bullets, and list your licenses, registrations, certifications, professional organizations, publications, presentations, skills, awards, and volunteer experience. Since your resume is your opportunity to obtain an interview, it has to be outstanding. Use quality resume paper in cream or white, use spell check, and proof, proof, proof! Sound overwhelming?
